A confusing morning and then BABIES?

So, let's see the next day. . . this is kinda hard to do now since it was such a long time ago. Anyway.

We started off the day getting on the #9 railway to get off at Narodni Trida to get off and transfer to the 22 to get to Charles Bridge.

BUT

On the way to Narodni Trida, one of our classmates got pulled off the tram! At first I didn't notice because I was on another part of the tram, but when we got off at Narodni Trida, people from our group said that one of the girls got pulled off the tram for not having a validated rail pass.

So we were like oh **** because one, she was all alone, two, she had no ID, and 3 had no money to pay the fine.

OH let me explain more. . . there is more background to this story. . . so the night before we went to a bar/ lounge/ mini club called Chapeau Rouge (Red Hat). And we had a couple of beers, danced to the music, and were having a good time.

But all of a sudden the poor same girl... said she had put down here purse and could not find it! SO we looked around asking people if they had seen it but of course it was not to be found... so we went home all sad and confused. And she had lost all of her money, cards, itouch, and other things. . . so it was a bad night that was just a bit depressing.

SO flash back to our current day. . . WHOOSH! and yeah poor girl was all alone with nothing and we had no idea where she had gone or what had happened. We waited around to see if she'd come on the other trams but she didn't for at least 20 min so our proff told us to continue onto Charles Bridge and sketch blah blah. So we did, saw a man with a fake organ grinder and fake monkey, and did our thing.

Meanwhile our proff went back to go look for our lost girl and was gone for like 2 hrs. The lost girl eventually found us on the bridge and explained that the metro people nearly took her to jail because he had no id, and no ticket. But she eventually got let go because she was probably just to much trouble for them and thus found us on the bridge.

But our proff still haddn't returned so we were all confused as to what to do. People got upset and wanted to leave, but it was the 2nd day and so we felt kinda bad disbanding the group.

EVENTUALLY our proff returns red faced and nearly breathless and told us to go to lunch. . . We then reconviend an hour later at St. Nicholas Cathedral where I took these pictures.

It's a baroque cathedral so everything is over the top, and there are giant marble statues alll over the interior of the cathedral. It was kind of scary because so many of the saints and such were killing or punishing other people. lol like this guy, his head was being stepped on by a saint hahahaha!

So a group of us decided to explore the city more and we discovered some more interesting things.

Remember those babies from the last post? You know those black babies that were climbing up the TV tower? Well they crawled down the tower and were walking around on the ground! =0

These things are kinda creepy up close. Oh btw they were made by David Cerny. OH another btw. . . I'm pretty sure those marks on the faces are barcodes punched into the faces of the babies. It's probably some statement about the communists and how they treated everyone as just a number or a faceless being with no personal identity.

Oh and these are the Dancing Buildings, also known as "Fred and Ginger." It's a really famous building designed by none other than Frank Gehry. It's one of his earlier works, and it's interesting to look at. I think it's just an apartment building with a bar on the bottom. It kinda was less impressive than I thought it would be, but I think I had really high expectations for it since I've seen it in books and magazines.

Anyway, I think that was the extent of the day!
